We expect up to 200 language professionals from Washington and the neighboring states to attend this year’s event. Included in the event are 13 for-credit conference sessions and workshops, a plethora of advertising options, plenty of time for networking, and more...

We are thrilled to introduce our 2025 KEYNOTE SPEAKER, Dr. Devin Gilbert: a certified Spanish and Portuguese-to-English translation and interpreting practitioner, researcher, and educator with a PhD in Translation Studies from Kent State. Devin will lead sessions on AI, ethical dilemmas, and terminology management.

The remaining sessions will cover such wide-ranging topics as legal terminology, medical interpreter ethics, the politics of Russian translation, sleep as self-care for language professionals, poetry translation and publication, note taking for interpreters, managing ambiguous phrases in translation, participating in practice groups to improve interpreting, and intercultural competency for interpreters and translators.
