NOTIS 2025 ANNUAL CONFERENCE

Our dynamic 2025 conference program will include such wide-ranging topics as legal terminology, medical interpreter ethics, the politics of Russian translation, sleep as self-care for language professionals, poetry translation and publication, note taking for interpreters, managing ambiguous phrases in translation, participating in practice groups to improve interpreting, and intercultural competency for interpreters and translators.

Keynote Presenter
We are thrilled to announce our 2025 Keynote Speaker, Dr. Devin Gilbert: a certified Spanish and Portuguese-to-English translation and interpreting practitioner, researcher, and educator with a PhD in Translation Studies from Kent State. 

Devin will lead three conference sessions: the keynote address, titled "Articulate Your Human Value in a Language Services Industry Grappling with Artificiality" and two additional sessions on T&I Ethical Dilemmas and The Basics of Terminology Management.

Early-bird registration available from Monday, July 21, until midnight on Friday, August 22. Register by 08/22 and SAVE!

Registration includes: access to all conference sessions and activities, coffee and tea service, and a catered lunch.
