Our dynamic 2025 conference program will include such wide-ranging topics as: legal terminology, medical interpreter ethics, the politics of Russian translation, sleep as self-care for language professionals, poetry translation and publication, note taking for interpreters, managing ambiguous phrases in translation, participating in practice groups, and intercultural competency for interpreters and translators. We are delighted to announce our 2025 Keynote Speaker, Dr. Devin Gilbert: a certified Spanish and Portuguese-to-English translation and interpreting practitioner, researcher, and educator with a PhD in Translation Studies from Kent State.
Devin will lead three conference sessions: the keynote address, titled "Articulate Your Human Value in a Language Services Industry Grappling with Artificiality" and two additional sessions on T&I Ethical Dilemmas and The Basics of Terminology Management.
