REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN for a full-day workshop for healthcare interpreters! Yuliya Speroff will offer three topics in a day at the MP Building, an off site location of Multicare Yakima Memorial Hospital. 

COURSE SCHEDULE
9 am – 12 pm: Interpreting in Mental Health
12 pm - 1 pm: Lunch
1 pm – 3 pm: Interpreting for Spiritual Care  
3:30 pm – 5:30 pm: Managing the Interpreting Encounter   

When? Saturday, June 1, 2024

Cost?  Registration is available for each workshop separately. Attendance of all workshops is eligible for a 10% discount on registration.

  • Attend all three workshops and receive 10% off (7 credits): $95/members, $158/non members
  • Interpreting in Mental Health (3 credits): $45/members, $75/non members
  • Interpreting for Spiritual Care (2 credits): $30/members, $50/non members
  • Managing the Interpreting Encounter (2 credits): $30/members, $50/nonmembers

Who is teaching?

Yuliya Speroff
 is a Russian-English CoreCHI™ and DSHS-certified healthcare interpreter. Yuliya first started interpreting over 10 years ago in her hometown of Novosibirsk, Russia and has since interpreted in a variety of settings – from a fighter jet factory to a live brain surgery, and most recently at a number of hospitals in Seattle. Yuliya also holds an MA in Business Management and is certified as both an English and a Russian language instructor with more than 10 years of teaching experience. Yuliya’s The Medical Interpreter Blog focuses on providing medical interpreters with resources and information for continuous professional development.
