Presented by Thomas West, JD, CT
In this two-hour seminar, we will answer questions like these:

Can the terms corporation and company be used interchangeably in English?
-
Is a limited liability company the same thing as a société anonyme? (Hint: it depends!)
-
Are all types of companies said to be incorporated, or is that word only used for corporations?
-
How should we translate société into English?
-
Does the French adjective social always refer to a société?
-
How should we translate associé into English?
-
What does quitus / décharge mean? Is it OK to translate it as discharge?
We will also discuss various French-language corporate documents, such as charters, board meeting minutes and shareholder meeting minutes, and how to translate them into English. This webinar will be presented in English.
