Are you a Vietnamese medical/social services interpreter who has thought about taking the court certification exam? We would like to talk to you!
Demand for court-certified Vietnamese interpreters in Washington state remains strong, but the pool of working interpreters to meet that demand is shrinking. This is a wonderful opportunity for interpreters who are interested in expanding their business to include legal settings. And yet, it has been years since any Vietnamese interpreter has taken the court certification exam in Washington State. We would like to find out why.
Please join Rosemary Nguyen, court-certified interpreter, and James Wells of the Administrative Office of the Courts for an informal discussion. Any and all ideas are welcome. Is the pay too low? The exam too hard? Your input is very valuable because if we know what the issues are we may be able to address them.
There is no cost to attend this discussion and all are welcome. Please register to receive the Zoom link.
