This 64-hour training will cover the content of CCHCP’s 40-hour Bridging the Gap – Medical Interpreter Training in addition to special interpreter professional development topics. 8 CE credits have approved by WA DSHS.
  • Topics covered include:
  • National ethics standards
  • The roles of the medical interpreter
  • Memory development
  • Sight translation
  • Mental health interpreting
  • Health disparities (including those faced by the LGBTQIA community)
  • Medical terminology
  • Professional development
  • and more!

Participants will have ample opportunities to practice simultaneous interpretation in English and their other language(s) through role play activities and other skill development exercises.
