Help NOTIS's Northwest Literary Translators welcome three noted scholars and writers from the Persian-speaking world for a panel discussion on the translation of literature from Iran, Afghanistan, and elsewhere.

Soltanzadeh, Samarqandi, and Catterson will be in residence at the University of Washington between November 11-15, 2024. They are the inaugural cohort for the UW Middle Eastern Languages and Cultures program's Iraj Khademi residency program.

The discussion will be moderated by Aria Fani of the University of Washington and Shelley Fairweather-Vega of the Northwest Literary Translators. And Uzbek dinner will be served. Please bring a dessert or beverage to share if you can.

Read a press release about the residency.
Check these instructions for getting to Folio.

NOTIS's Northwest Literary Translators meet once a month and anyone interested in translated literature is welcome to join. Visit us online here.
