NOTIS’ Translation Division presents
What is it about?
With streaming services and demands for accessibility, subtitles are fast gaining a foothold in the non-traditional subtitling countries. But what goes into making good subtitles? Is it just what pleases the eye of the subtitler, or is there a rhyme and a reason for doing things a certain way? In this 2.5-hour seminar, we will look into the science that has shaped the best practices of subtitling, learn how to build balanced, reader-friendly subtitles and get a glimpse of how a subtitling software works.
