The Northwest Literary Translators present
RESEARCH FOR LITERARY TRANSLATION
Local translator Elizabeth Adams will lead a discussion on how to tackle the trickiest research puzzles that come up during any type of translation work. All translators are invited.
Elizabeth Adams is an ATA-certified Russian to English legal translator who also translates short fiction and screenplays. She enjoys teaching and learning about the research skills translators use to accomplish amazing things on short deadlines. Elizabeth will present some of her favorite research ideas and then open the floor for participants to share their own resources and tips. After the discussion, participants will receive a write-up of the resources covered.
The Northwest Literary Translators, part of the Northwest Translators and Interpreters Society, meet the second Monday of most months either online or at Folio, the Seattle Athenaeum. As Seattle reopens, we will be holding more in-person events. Please stay tuned. For more information, join our Facebook group.
