Join us at Folio to examine some real-life examples of how editors and translators work together on manuscripts before publication. What are the steps in the process? How does each step impact the developing manuscript? What are some best practices for translators in considering and responding to suggested edits?
We will take a detailed look at actual translation manuscripts marked up by a publisher's copy editor and discuss the editing process from the translator's point of view.
The Northwest Literary Translators, part of the Northwest Translators and Interpreters Society, meet the third Thursdays of most months at Folio, the Seattle Athenaeum. This will be our last formal meeting before we break for the summer. For more information, join our Facebook group.
