Using the Washington State Labor and Industries Guidelines for Interpreters

and Washington State DSHS Code of Ethics for Certified Medical Interpreters,

Certified Medical and Court Interpreter for the Czech language, Kveta Morgan, will lead discussion on Ethical Issues which both experienced and inexperienced interpreters face “out in the field” on assignment.

In addition to an end-of-session written exercise to demonstrate individual’s understanding of Washington State DSHS and Labor and Industries Codes of Ethics, this Workshop will be interactive, with opportunity for conversation about recent challenges an individual has faced.

 At the end of the session, participants will be asked to answer questions about the content of this session.
