Literary Translation Workshop: Theory in Practice

Have you considered a career in literary translation? Are you interested in exploring creative strategies for approaching this genre?

Please join OSTI for a working lunch and afternoon workshop Saturday,  June 9, 12:30PM to 3:30PM at Portland Community College, Southeast Campus, 2305 SE 82nd Ave, Portland, OR 97216 (Mt. Tabor Hall, Room 138/three ATA CEU hours).

We'll examine literary translation form and theory, evaluate work by established literary translators, and workshop your translated poem, short story or excerpt from a novel or play!

This workshop is open to translators working from any language(s) into English. Bring a sack lunch and (if applicable) a translation-in-progress you would like to discuss at this event.

To RSVP, please contact Allison by June 5 at: AlasVerdesTranslationNW@gmail.com, and identify your working languages.

**Please note that this event is not hosted by NOTIS. Please contact the organizers of the event for more information.**
