Literary Translation Workshop: Theory in Practice
Have you considered a career in literary translation? Are you interested in exploring creative strategies for approaching this genre?
Please join OSTI for a working lunch and afternoon workshop Saturday, June 9, 12:30PM to 3:30PM at Portland Community College, Southeast Campus, 2305 SE 82nd Ave, Portland, OR 97216 (Mt. Tabor Hall, Room 138/three ATA CEU hours).
We'll examine literary translation form and theory, evaluate work by established literary translators, and workshop your translated poem, short story or excerpt from a novel or play!
This workshop is open to translators working from any language(s) into English. Bring a sack lunch and (if applicable) a translation-in-progress you would like to discuss at this event.
