This workshop will cover essential terminology related to two major body systems: 1) the heart and circulatory system, and 2) the kidneys and urinary system. We will study terms associated with the anatomy and function of these systems, as well as the symptoms, diagnosis and treatment of common related disorders. The material is presented through handouts, slide presentations and videos, and participants will be given ample opportunities during the class to practice and review the terminology presented. This is an excellent workshop for medical interpreters, both new and experienced, as well as court interpreters who may encounter these medical terms in their work.
